Maria Isabela Galeria, Sorsogon's bet for Miss Universe Philippines

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 14) — Miss Universe Philippines announced Friday its official candidates, who will vie for the crown and represent the country in the 2020 Miss Universe pageant.

The new owner of the Miss Universe franchise in the country, Miss Universe Philippines Organization, introduced at a red carpet event its 52 official candidates including a couple of pageant returnees — Miss Globe 2018 representative and professional volleyball player Michele Gumabao, and Binibining Pilipinas 2018 candidate Sandra Lemonon.

The candidates will be promoting the pageant’s three key pillars namely Beautiful Transformation, Beyond the Coastlines, and Inspiring Women with Action.

Miss Universe Philippines is now headed by Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup as national director.
